Enjoying the sea is everyone’s right, but it also comes with a great deal of responsibility. Perhaps the most important of all our duties is protecting the coastline and keeping it clean. That’s what we try to do with Barcelona Forum District, an association that brings together important companies, institutions and organisations in the Forum area, which we have a special relationship with here at Diagonal Mar.
The main activity we carry out is a day spent cleaning the coastline of Barcelona, specifically the Mar Bella and Nova Mar Bella beaches. This teamwork action collects hundreds of kilos of rubbish every year. It is a problem that affects us all and we like to do our bit towards resolving it.
What it comes down to is that we love the sea, and when you love something, just saying so isn’t enough: you have to prove it!
